Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of XpenseIt ("the Service"), operated by AR Web Development & Media LLC. This AUP is part of our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Permitted Use

XpenseIt is designed for legitimate business and personal expense tracking, invoicing, and mileage logging. You may use the Service to:

  • Record and categorize business and personal expenses
  • Create, send, and track invoices for clients
  • Log mileage for IRS deduction purposes
  • Upload and store receipt images related to your expenses
  • Generate reports and export data for your records

2. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Fabricate fraudulent financial records, invoices, or receipts
  • Facilitate tax evasion, money laundering, or any illegal financial activity
  • Store, upload, or transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Upload content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or violates the rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without permission
  • Circumvent storage quotas, rate limits, or other usage restrictions
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Use the Service as general-purpose file hosting unrelated to expense tracking
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent

3. Storage & Upload Limits

Each account has a storage quota (displayed in Settings). Uploaded files must be receipt images, invoice attachments, or other documents directly related to your financial records. We reserve the right to remove files that are unrelated to the Service's purpose or that violate this AUP.

4. Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Using a strong, unique password (minimum 12 characters)
  • Enabling two-factor authentication (strongly recommended)
  • Keeping your credentials confidential
  • Reporting suspected unauthorized access immediately

5. Enforcement

We may investigate violations of this AUP and take action including:

  • Warning the account holder
  • Temporarily suspending the account
  • Permanently terminating the account
  • Reporting illegal activity to law enforcement

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.
